2015/16 Senior Finals: Development Team in Home Semi

Two of our Five senior teams have made it to the semi finals for season 2015/16. Once again our Development Team, this year playing in the “One Day B Grade”, have made the semis, along with our 4th Grade side. Both these sides contain a heap of young Plateau players, boding well for the future of the CPCC Senior teams.

Development Team vs Manly Breakers, COLLAROY PLATEAU PARK, 1PM SATURDAY

Get up to Vic Huxley Oval on Saturday and cheer on our ever successful Development Team in their semi final. It’s a one day match, so Saturday only. The side is led by veteran Andrew Davis and features juniors such as Ethan Elliott, Otto Schultz, Nick Baber, Justin Soo and Noah Gammage as well as some more experienced heads including Tim Schultz, Kim Blacker and Pete Bonner.

They finished 3rd on the ladder, just 2 points behind the Breakers. Ex-Plateau tourists David Lang and Arthur Smith are expected to turn out for the Breakers.

It’s pretty rare these days that Plateau sides get to have a finals game at home, so let’s make the most of it to turn up and support the boys.

4th Grade vs Harbord, Griffith Park, 1pm Saturday and Sunday

4ths finished the season in 2nd place on the ladder and will be looking for a big performance to march into the Grand Final. The 2015/16 4th Grade season saw the emergence of Patrick Koch who has scored an incredible 401 runs at an average of 66.83. That included a knock of 110 not out. There’s more too – Pat has also taken 16 wickets for the season. Other young players in the side include Sam Filmer-Ramsey (21 wickets), Brad Baber (21 wickets), Lachlan Allomes (17 wickets) and James Bourcier amongst others.

Griffith Park is far down the road so drop in to see how they’re travelling on either Saturday or Sunday (2 day match).

Best of luck to both sides!
