Collaroy Plateau Cricket Club The biggest park cricket club on Sydney's Northern Beaches
CPCC are excited to announce our project to install lighting for the Plateau Park cricket nets. The lighting will illuminate the nets to Cricket Australia standard lux to enable net training into the evening. This will greatly assist the Club to cater for the increased demand for net training timeslots brought about by increased team numbers, particularly due to the growth of girls cricket.
It is expected that successful completion of the project will have the following outcomes:
• Approx. double the capacity for team trainings
• Provide greater flexibility for coaches to choose appropriate training times to increase participation
• Improve safety and allow training during low natural light conditions
Funding is via infrastructure grant funding from Cricket Australia and SportNSW with CPCC also contributing to the cost. The project is being implemented in collaboration with Northern Beaches Council. Construction approval is currently being assessed by NBC.
