The Collaroy Plateau Cricket Club Development Squad has won the President’s Cup Premiership for the 5th time in the past 6 seasons.
The 7th Graders found themselves in huge trouble at 8/64 chasing Harbord Maroon’s 99, but a 20 by the captain Darren McDermott and an unbeaten 28 at number 10 for under 16-18 player Ben Blackshaw saw the Plateau scrape home a 1 wicket win.
Earlier, the pick of the Plateau bowlers were James Bourcier, who took an amazing 4/13 off 12, stalwart Andrew Davis, who claimed 3/24 and Brad Baber, 3/29.
It’s a fantastic result for the Plateau – great to see another crop of juniors coming through the ranks and continuing the success of the development team initiative.
