Message from Vicki Carden
The weather is looking good for this weekend’s cricket games – yay!
N.B. Afternoon timeslot for U14/1 and U14/2 this Round. See website for guidelines and playing times www.manlyjuniorcricket.nsw.cricket.com.au
As we head into the last few rounds for season 2015-2016 it’s time for the annual reminder that it is officially cricket season until the final games are played on the weekend of 19th-20th March.
Whilst we understand that winter sport registrations/grading etc are well underway please be mindful and explain to your winter sport coaches/managers that you are still committed to your cricket team until the end of the season – should any timetabling clashes occur.
ALL Junior teams play up to and including 19th March.
The final round in many age groups is listed as TBA on the website.
This will be a seeded ‘pseudo final’ round based on table positions after all other rounds are completed and will determine final placings on your respective ladders.
The mid-week Manly Mini-Bash T20 got underway this week.
Good luck to the following teams taking part this year:
U11/1 “Storm”
U12/2 “Lightning”
U13/1 “Charges”
U13/2 “Kilowatts”
U14/2 “Thunderbolts”
U13/1 “Gigawatts” (playing in the U13-15 League)
** We are hoping to hold our end of season Junior Presentation in the evening of the 19th March – venue and details TBA.
Great to see former CPCC Junior and current Manly 4th Grade keeper/batsman James Boyer back at Plateau Park this week.
James conducted an excellent coaching session with our U/14 “Megawatts” as part of the Manly for Manly community program.
Thanks James – great work!
** Following on from the success of our invitational 60th Anniversary T20/Pink Stumps Day last season we will be holding a similar Festival of Cricket day on
Sunday 6th March at Collaroy Plateau Park
More info to follow on the structure of the teams (Junior and Senior) and how you can be involved.
Official Pink Stumps Day for clubs across the Nation is Saturday 20th March – any teams that would like to get involved and use one of our Pink kits and do some fundraising at your match on this day (ie sausage sizzle/selling cup cakes/ lolly bags/collecting donations) please contact me.
Collaroy Plateau Cricket Club Pink Stumps Day 2016
Hi Everyone!
We are taking part in Pink Stumps Day. Pink Stumps Day encourages clubs, businesses and schools to show their cricket skills and play for the McGrath Foundation.
We will be hosting a Pink Stumps Day and encouraging people to support our event.
Over the past 5 years, thousands of teams from across Australia have come together to play and fundraise over $4.5M for a great cause.
We would be most grateful if you could generously help by donating so that together we can raise more to help the 42 women diagnosed with breast cancer each day*.
Thank you for your support!
