Nick Baber Wins Go Karts on Weekend Away Debut

In a perfectly legal and controlled environment, Nick Baber has proven that he is the fastest in the club on 4 wheels after setting the fastest time in the 2019 CPCC Go Karting session a couple of weeks back.

Due to the closure of the Nowra based venue that hosted the event for the previous two years, this trip we visited C1 Speed at Albion Park, on route to Culburra, for the first time.

The 5 race sessions were dominated mostly by the President (Col) and the Secretary (TC) with 2 wins a piece. But in Race 3, Nicky Babes was able to put it all together to set the all important quickest time of the afternoon.

A final assault on a fast lap time in the “all in” final race was interrupted by some erratic driving from Ben Eady, which resulted in him facing the wrong direction and being launched into the air due to some heavy contact with the Brick. This ended the session prematurely and Baber held on for the victory.
