For the first time in over a year, our top grade played at home on Saturday but the homecoming wasn’t a happy one. Under beautiful blue skies and in front of a healthy crowd, the Towers won the toss and batted against First Grade newcomers Cromer. The day started poorly with opener Scott Robertson feathering an edge to the keeper and the news went from bad to worse. All out for 70 and despite the Towers getting right back in the game with 6 wickets for 50, Cromer reached the target soon after. In other grades, the 4ths, 5ths and 7ths recorded victories whilst the 3rds had a narrow loss. On Sunday, CPCC scored a match winning 198 against Harbord Bowling club in the inaugural MWCA T20 Clash at Nolans. Harbord made it close scoring 186 in reply.
