Congratulations to the CPCC U11/1 Thunder who won their rescheduled Manly Mini Bash final last Thursday afternoon with a comprehensive win against Peninsula Pacers 5/132 v 6/42.
The team put on a great batting display with Charlie Stevenson top scoring – 48 not out, Lachie Nolan – 28 and Archie Stanford – 25.
The team was as equally impressive with the ball, Zac Smithers 2/7 off 2 and Archie Stanford 1/3 also off 2. The boys backed up well with brilliant fielding and managed to limit the opposition scoring opportunities.
This was the boys first foray into leather ball cricket and they rose to the challenge. A wonderful way to end the season.
